Irdeto Adds Client Watermarking to TraceMark

Content redistribution piracy remains a big threat to the media and entertainment industry and, with increasing budgets for original content, broadcast and OTT services are often primary targets for illegal redistribution. To continue to address piracy challenges, Irdeto has added client watermarking capabilities to the Irdeto TraceMark™ forensic watermarking solution.

The new solution enables fast integration and rapid detection of pirate sources, making it a powerful anti-piracy capability for live content such as 4K sports.

With the addition of the client watermarking solution, broadcast and OTT operators are now able to identify which account the pirate stream is originating from and on which device.
